The vision of the Alaska Hut Association is a system of linked backcountry huts offering diverse wilderness experiences and educational opportunities to the general public. Manitoba Cabin is just the first step in that process.
Our yurt and cabin rentals near Anchorage, Alaska provide a higher level of service than you would find at a typical public use cabin in Alaska. Outfitted with mattresses, a fully outfitted kitchen, firewood, and propane for cooking, guests only need to bring food, a sleeping bag, and warm clothes. For some travelers, this is simply added comfort; for others, this makes a previously inaccessible wilderness experience possible.
Our hope is to use these experiences to educate visitors on the natural world and inspire the next generation of land stewards.
