Family Fun Camp with Erin Kirkland

We're so excited to have Family Fun Camp back with Alaska Huts for the THIRD time!

Bring the entire family to camp at Manitoba Hut! Spend a weekend learning about nature and outdoor fun through a variety of activities involving moms, dads, grandparents, friends, or caregivers.

Led by Alaska family travel and outdoor recreation advocate Erin Kirkland of AK on the Go with help from Kenai Backcountry Adventures, participants attending Family Camp will sleep in yurts, create nature-themed crafts, enjoy group games, and relax around the campfire in the scenic surroundings of Manitoba’s historic area.

Who should attend Family Camp?
Caregivers and children of any age are welcome at Family Camp, however, daily activities will be geared toward kids age 4 and up. There is no experience required for Family Camp participants other than an open mind and a willingness to work as a team in within Manitoba’s rustic environment.

What is the level of activity at Family Camp?
Manitoba Hut is reached via a 3/4-mile hike from the Seward Highway parking area to the cabin. During the day, we will be active; hiking up to three miles as a group, and playing active games.

When is Family Fun Camp?

Family Fun Camp begins at 10am on October 14th and ends at Noon on October 15th.
