Spring Woodstock 2023

Lots of wood for heating!

Woodstock this spring was a huge success! We want to thank everyone who came out to join us and help take care of Manitoba, whether you are a Huts veteran or new to our community!

If you have never been before, Woodstock is our twice-yearly volunteer event to take care of the Manitoba Hut. We stock the woodsheds full of firewood, clean the cabin and yurts, work on major maintenance projects, and have a great time! This year, we would like to thank Broken Tooth Brewing Company for supplying us with beer, Costco for helping out with the food that we supplied to volunteers, and John and Mike from local band Triple Black Diamonds for making the trip out to play for us after dinner! Also, a special thank you to Clint Helander for documenting the day. Also, a special shout out to the APU Junior team for hauling 4 cords of wood for us a few days before the event during their Manitoba training camp. It only took them an hour, and they all said that it was even fun! Thanks APU!

During Woodstock this spring, we hauled and stacked 10 cords of wood, added support and sturdied up the Silvertip Yurt woodshed, deep cleaned all of the yurts and the cabin, consumed a keg of beer and 50 bratwurst, and generally tidied up Manitoba from a long winter! We had 35 volunteers to help us, about half of which had never come to Woodstock before, including some who made their first ever trip to Manitoba! We are always excited to welcome new people into our community, and we hope to see you all again soon.

Fall Woodstock is scheduled for Saturday, September 30th at 12:00 PM. RSVP here!
