Sunday, October 3rd - 12 PM at Manitoba Cabin and Yurts
Join us for the autumn edition of Woodstock 2021 at Manitoba Cabin and Yurts! This will once again be an outdoor only event focused on hauling and stacking wood and doing various maintenance tasks around the Manitoba grounds. We ask that everyone attending is vaccinated, brings a mask, social distances from others at the event to mitigate COVID-19 risk. As always these days, PLEASE stay home if you feel unwell.
We’ll be stocking the Manitoba woodshed with 4 cords of firewood. There are also a few major maintenance tasks and projects to take care of, including fixing the deck and steps on Toba’s Yurt, getting the whole facility winter-ready, and building a snowmachine shed, to name a few. As always, there will be plenty of work for everyone.
We will have some beer from Girdwood Brewing, as well as some food and snacks!
Woodstock is one of our favorite events, and is centered around connecting with volunteers, staff, and board – as well as introducing new folks to the beautiful area around Manitoba Cabin and the special community that keeps Huts running smoothly throughout the year. Families and people new to Manitoba are more than welcome. We will spend the day hauling firewood, getting the facility ready for an epic winter, and scrubbing the summer dirt away.
